We are now well into the New year! Whether you have made resolutions or not, many of us focus a little more on healthy eating after the indulgences of the festive period to help give a little balance.
We have recently began stocking acai berry powder- acai is an excellent source of antioxidants, omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, calcium and potassium. We have created this simple and fun acai soft serve bowl full of goodness but also a little indulgent too as healthy eating should still be good! The mulberries on top are a lovely touch as they go super crunchy from the chill of the base beneath!
Acai is best blended in to uncooked recipes to retain the maximum national value.
Recipe: Acai soft serve bowl
- 1 frozen chopped banana
- 2 tbs acai powder
- 1 tbs baobab powder
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 an avocado
- handful of mulberries and hemp seeds for topping (optional)
Add all ingredients, other than topping, to a blender and blend together quickly to create a soft serve consistency. Spoon into a bowl and add the mulberries and hemp seeds to serve.
